Chris Kirubi has become a household name and for a good reason. The man has made himself a business man worth emulating. Starting off by simply buying dilapidated property in Nairobi, renovating them and later selling them for a good profit, Kirubi’s net worth has risen to several billion shillings. He owns one of the tallest standing commercial buildings in Nairobi’s CBD, International House building, plus many other commercial buildings in the city.

His real estate wealth may not offer much to learn about, just as much as it is difficult for most young people to get there. But Chris Kirubi is not all about real estate. He also has several other businesses in which he properly applies his entrepreneurial skills and from which aspiring business people can learn quite a lot. Chris holds 49% of Haco Tiger Industries, besides being the owner of UAP Insurance, Sandvik East Africa, Capital FM and the DHL Franchise in Kenya.

All these companies owned by Chris Kirubi are in different industries: Haco Tiger Industries manufactures consumer products, UAP Insurance is a renowned insurance company in Kenya, Sandvik East Africa is a building and construction company, DHL is a transport and logistics company and he has his head in the media industry through Capital FM. A man with such a wide scope of knowledge and experience is surely worth learning from and the good thing is that he is not mean with the information that he has gained from his business experience.

Chris Kirubi has been known for keeping an active social media presence using his twitter and Facebook accounts. Now most recently, he launched #ASKKIRUBI, a venture that seeks to share his wealth of information about money making on twitter. Young and aspiring business people can now ask him business related questions directly. Anyone can follow him and ask relevant questions from 10AM to 1PM every day. As you would expect, he gets tonnes and tonnes of questions and he may not really be able to answer all of them. However, by just following discussions and reading his reactions to the questions he is asked, you can learn quite a lot from Chris.

Thank you Chris Kirubi for offering your time to educate Kenyans on business. We appreciate.
